My name is Jennifer Elisabeth Mendez and I hail from Havana, Cuba where I was born and than raised in the United States by way of Florida, Illinois and Michigan where I had lived with both my parents whom raised three other boys besides their daughter; that being I.

In my educational pursuance I have been educated through both the public school and collegiate systems.

I came to realize and accept the realities and very real facts of my being a transgender woman and became through no act or want of my own; a strong advocate for civil and gender rights along with fair play at local levels. I am also into women’s issues because I strongly believe that their issues are mine, too.

I became engaged in the social and community events structure of our community by providing and bringing together viable people who works together as a team to provide healthy and safe events for those who otherwise would fear going out and coming out to express whom they are.

I am also attending schooling as a full time student at a leading Michigan college system in pursuance of my Bachelors in Business degree.

Although presently I still reside in Michigan and still travel to Florida occasionally to visit relatives and friends from time to time. And, I am also a single woman.
